Senari izakaya

Quick Review: Senari was one of the first places that I went to in Nanao when I arrived and it wasn't until I had been to a bunch of others that I appreciated how good a place it was. Maybe it was the abundance of English and German adverts on the walls that put me off.

Keep Reading... I have been back a several times now and almost everything that I have eaten in here has been good, and the others I didn't like more because of personal taste than a lack of quality. My favourites are the Sashimi salad and the spring rolls (harumaki). This is a good place to try out all sorts of Japanese foodstuffs and is well worth paying a little extra to get the good stuff.

nanao_senari_exterior_1.jpg Restaurant: Senari izakaya
Reviewer Name: Keith Ibsen
Address: ribon dori
Telephone Number: ???
Location: Ribon dori is straight across the square from Nanao station, look for the Vodaphone shop (and wave to the girls when you walk past!). Senari is about 100m along it on the right hand side.
Price Range: dishes start from around 500yen and go to very expensive. They have a 2 dish per person rule during busy times. Tends to be 3-4000 each with a few beers.
Type of Food: Japanese
English: Menu is in Japanese and staff speak little to no English.
Capacity: Gets busy most nights but never had a problem getting seated even in groups of 10 or so.
