Nanao Minatomatsuri

Girls, it's time to be cute and scurry around like squirrels in your Uniqlo yukatas. Boys, it's time to unleash that sexy mangled mess of chest hair, and have it peak out from your yukata triangle. Got too much to manage? You can settle it cleanly in a nice braid, or, if you are feeling more "bad ass", maybe you can attempt some cornrolls?

Keep Reading... If I still have your attention, I might well lose it on this next part (just being sarcastic, this event is supposed to be high on the culture scale AND on the fun-o-meter). You get to dance the "soudori" dance in a biiiiigggg 2000 person circle with nanaons and tourists.

I heard the second years had a great time last year with this, and it would be nice if the nanao residing foreigners can come out and show their foreign faces. If you folks outside of nanao could show up, that would be like a big bean and cheese burrito....EXCELLENT! It's also one of those rare times during the year when those young AND legal ppl come out and flood the streets of nanao.
