Welcome to all Group B JETs who arrived yesterday! Now that you're nearly all here, here are the details of some of the fun we've got planned for you...

Saturday 12th August - Kanazawa Welcome Party
Scott and the other Kz area leaders will take anyone who's in town out to Beach Apre in Uchinada. Meet at 5.10pm under the big wooden gate at the front of Kanazawa station.

Saturday 19th August - Kanazawa Bar Crawl
Let the old hands show you round their favourite Kz haunts. Meet 9pm in front of McDonalds at the top of Tatemachi.

Saturday 26th August - AJET Welcome party
This is the big one. This will be a huge night of swimming, volleyball, pool, and general beach mayhem at Beach Apre. Party starts at 6:00, and will go all the way until morning. The Uchinada Music Festival brought to you by our very own rock-goddess, Dipstar will also be at Beach Apre that night. The festival will showcase a great line-up of bands starting from 1pm. Beg, borrow or steal some floor space from your new Kz friends, or be ready to dance until sunrise!

Sorry these are all a bit Kanazawa-centric, but this is where I live. I'm sure there'll be loads of fun going on from Suzu down to Kaga, so please get in touch with your local area leaders for details. Cheers, Tom.
