Anamizu is a small town of 10,000 people located on the
inner bay of the Noto Hanto peninsula.
Things to do
Some popular activities to do in Anamizu include hiking
through the trails of Takarayama park or walking the bay
path. Boats, such as kayaks and canoes can be rented in
the warmer months from the Anamizu Marina. Anamizu can be
reached by train from Nanao,
Notomachi, and Suzu.
For Noto locations such as Monzen
and Wajima, the
bus system is easy to use.
Anamizu`s Festivals
Mid-September- Shishimai Festival. Full of kirikos, singing,
kamis, and sake.
November 2-Cultural Day at Anamizu`s Cultural Center. Taiko
performances, Tea Ceremony, Ikebana Presentations, etc.
Last Weekend in January- Anamizu`s Kaki (oyster) Festival.
More of a barbeque in front of the town hall.
Sakura Hanami- At Noto-Kashima (one station before Anamizu
coming from Nanao). See a view of the blossoms, the little
country train, and the sea at the same time.
