Attention—this schedule changes about three times a year. This is just the current (May 2003) schedule and fares for both the trains and buses.

Train Schedule: From Anamizu to Nanao/ Kanazawa (switch in Nanao)
    Fares: Anamizu-Nanao=810yen
Anamizu-Kanazawa=1940yen (pay the whole fare at once at beginning)

Bus Schedule: From Anamizu to Kanazawa // From Kanazawa to Anamizu
Bus Stop Location: Anamizu=On Highway, in front of Yahata (on highway to Wajima),
Drops off in front of Komeri Shopping Complex
Kanazawa=At Long Distance Bus Terminals (by city bus stops) in front of Station
Fare: 1880 yen (plus faster than the train—only set back is it’s out of town)

Note: There are also buses (not listed) that stop in Anamizu to and from Suzu/Kanazawa. These stop around the same location, just around the corner on the highway to Suzu (in front of the Pachinko Parlor.)

    Super Noto Yurio Highway

This is the toll highway that starts in Anamizu and goes all the way to Kanazawa. Going the speed limit, you can get to Kanazawa in less than an hour and a half. The tolls, however do add up as does gas. There are four toll stops, adding up to 1180yen. It’s best if you pay all at once (first stop), saying “Kanazawa made” or “Anamizu made” and hand over the tickets to each toll person, instead of looking for your change at each stop.
