and Recreation
The geographical location of Hakui Gun is
ideal for a variety of outdoor pursuits including biking,
walking and surfing (if you can bear to brave the Sea of Japan
in winter)! Additionally, many of the local sports halls can
be hired out for a reasonable price providing the opportunity
to play a number of indoor sports.

Onsens
Onsening has to be a favourite Japanese pastime!
While it might initially seem strange that getting your kit
off and hopping into a “bath” with a bunch of
strangers qualifies as enjoyable, the majority of people soon
find themselves converted!
There are Onsens a-plenty in the Hakui area!
Some of the best Onsens in Ishikawa however, can be found
further up the Noto Peninsula and it might be worth travelling
out of town simply to reduce the risk of bumping into any
familiar faces (students in particular)! The cost of visiting
an Onsen ranges from 400 Yen to 1000 Yen.
Hakui Area
· Kofun-No-Yu (Shio Town)
· Shika Royal Hotel (Shika Town)
Noto Area
· Hyokkori – Sand baths are available at this
onsen! (Notojima Town)
· Mawaki (Noto Town)
